The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Tamale Claims Processing Centre (CPC), management has interacted with credentialled healthcare providers in the North East, Savannah and Northern regions.
The meeting which was held in Tamale reinforced the NHIA’s relationships with the service providers. Topics discussed related to electronic Claims management, Claims processing, adjudications, quality assurance, electronic credentialing processing and post deployment issues. A member of the NHIA Governing Board, who chaired the meeting, Dr. Isaac Charles Noble Morrison, implored the providers to be subservient to the Authority’s dictates.
According to him, outcomes of such annual meetings usually inform the Governing Board and Executive Management’s decision going forward. The Deputy Director of CPC Tamale, Isaac Gideon Akonde said the engagement sought to understand the providers concerns, needed to achieve the NHIA’s goals.
“The meeting is to offer an interactive session to discuss matters related to claims generations, submission and processing and to strengthen the center’s working relationship with stakeholders.”The NHIA Acting Northern Regional Director, Mr. Alhassan Abdulai Nambili urged staff of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to remain steadfast and work towards achieving their annual targets.
