The Cape Coast District Office of the National Health
Insurance Scheme (NHIS) extended health insurance services to congregants of
the Methodist Church of Ghana as part of the church’s 190th anniversary
celebrations in Cape Coast.
As part of the exercise, 102 members of the church benefited
from registrations and renewals under the Scheme.
The initiative was carried out with support from the
Branding and Marketing Unit of the NHIS Corporate Affairs Directorate, which
joined the district team to ensure a smooth process.
Officials explained that the exercise forms part of the
Authority’s broader community engagement drive aimed at bringing health
insurance services closer to the public while encouraging more Ghanaians to
enroll and keep their membership active.
