A team from the head office headed by Ag. Director Oswald Essuah Mensah, MIS Manager, Victor Baddoo and Marketing Manager, Jane Kyerematen have visited some registrations centers within the Cape Coast and Elmina enclave as well as Assin North and Assin South enclave where the NIA in collaboration with the NHIA are registering children 6-14 years old for the Ghana Card.
The Central Regional team being led by the Regional Director, Mr. Fred Appiah are also supporting the monitoring and will visit 14 districts and 3 sub offices within the region. The benefits of the exercise are enormous to the NHIA’s mission to attain Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and also to secure the future of these young ones with easy access to quality healthcare.
Mr. Essuah-Mensah reiterated the need for this exercise and indicated that it was an avenue for creating inclusiveness for the young ones to be part the country's goal in achieving UHC while leaving no-one behind.
The Central Regional Director expressed his gratitude to Executive Management and the head office team for embarking on such an important monitoring exercise in the region and urged the Corporate Affairs Directorate to intensify publicity on the exercise.
