NHIA partners KOFIH Foundation to build NHIA staff capacity | 4/17/2024

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA)in partnership with the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) and the Korean Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) has begun a 5-day Knowledge Sharing Executive Programme for its 2nd cohort of participants across all levels of the Authority.

The objective of this training is equip participants on Health Policy Analysis and to better appreciate and understand the healthcare ecosystem in developing countries (Africa in particular).

The training is being facilitated by Professor  Gordon Abekah-Nkrumah, PhD with support from Mr. Sebastian Alagpulinsa, Deputy Director, Membership & Regional Operations.

The Deputy Chief Executive  in charge of Admin & HR, Dr. Mrs Yaa Pokuaa Baiden who graced the occasion thanked KOFIH for their support over the years. She enumerated a lot of initiatives that both entities had worked on and appealed for an extension of contract to allow more NHIA staff to also benefit from the insightful training.

In their part Ms. Miyoung Jin - ODA Specialist from KOFIH thanked the NHIA for a partnership that has grown to benefit other nations in the sub region and encouraged participants to take advantage of the training to build capacity.
