The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Northern
Regional management, partnered with the Dagbon Traditional Council and provided
essential services during the 2025 Damba festival celebrations.
The Acting Regional Director, Mr. Alhassan Abdulai, led a
special taskforce across Dagbon and educated people on the National Health
Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Benefit Package, MyNHIS App and Mobile Renewal platform
practice, how to merge the NHIS and Ghana cards.
Registration booths were mounted at vantage points,
supervised by the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit.
The frontline staff conducted fresh registrations and
membership renewals and answered questions regarding the Scheme’s operations.
They reminded the Scheme’s active members to reject
unauthorized fees (illegal charges) at the point of need and report the
perpetrators to the district offices.
