NHIA Chief Executive adjudged Ghana’s most Outstanding CEO 2021 | 1/12/2022

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has once again added two (2) desirable Awards to its numerous honors bagged in recent times.

 

The Chief Executive, Dr. Lydia Dsane-Selby was crowned Ghana’s most Outstanding Chief Executive for the year 2021 and the NHIA has been recognized as the  Company of the year in the  healthcare category.  

 

Dr. Selby was extolled for her outstanding contribution to Ghana’s Health sector while the NHIA was awarded for effectively and meaningfully impacting the lives of Ghanaians. 

 

 This was at the Corporate Ghana Awards ceremony organized by Big Events Ghana at Moven Pick Ambassador Hotel in Accra, where 43 distinguished personalities from the public and private sectors were honored.As the NHIA’s Chief Executive, Dr. Lydia Dsane-Selby has been a great pillar and an inspiration to many Ghanaians. 

 

The NHIA recently included Childhood Cancers and Family Planning to the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) benefit package.With the introduction of the Mobile Renewal Service, the NHIS continues to gain global attention with prestigious awards pouring in from recognized public and private organizations. 

 

2019 Awards 

The NHIA received two prestigious Awards at the second edition of Africa Public Sector Conference and Awards (APSCA) in 2019. 

 

The Authority received the Most Outstanding Contribution Public Sector Digitization Award, and the Chief Executive, Dr. Lydia Dsane-Selby took the Outstanding Women in Public Sector Award.

 

 At the Maiden edition of Project Management Awards Ghana event organized by the Management Excellence Foundation and its partners at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra,  the NHIS grabbed the Social Impact Project Award. 

 

The NHIA was declared as the Most Innovative Public Sector institution at the 2019 Inspirational Public Sector Leadership Awards (IPSLA), which was organized by IMANI Ghana.
