MRO conducts Mid Year Performance Review Virtual Meeting | 9/18/2023

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Membership and Regional Operations (MRO) Directorate on September 14, 2023, conducted a virtual mid-year review meeting with the regional management teams. 

The meeting, moderated by Deputy Director, Sebastian Alagpulinsa sought to evaluate staff strengths and recognize areas for improvement.

This was to enable frontline staff to get back on track with their goals of achieving 100 percent active membership of the Scheme.

Ag. Director, (MRO), Mr. Oti Frempong, commended the regional management teams for a job well done during the period under review and urged them to go the extra mile and achieve their set targets.  

He reminded the regional management teams to be guided by the Chief Executive, Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye’s projection of 20 million active membership commitment, at the end of the year 2023, in line with the NHIS @20 Anniversary. 

He further advised the regional directors and teams to cautiously manage resources, especially consumables made available for increasing the Scheme’s active membership.

He reaffirmed top management’s commitment to providing enough resources to enhance the national agenda of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by the year 2030. Director, Research, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (RPME), Dr. Francis Asenso-Boadi urged frontline staff to intensify awareness creation on MyNHIS App at social settings. 

He advised the regional and district management teams to escalate service providers challenges to management for immediate investigations and remedial solutions. Senior Manager, MRO, Mr. Christian Ashiagbor gave an overview of the regional performances and called for collaborative efforts to achieve the 20 million active membership targets at the end of the year 2023. 

Other head office staff who participated in the meeting were Deputy Director, Management Information Systems (MIS),Mr. Vitus G. Kaleo-Bioh, Ag. Deputy Director, MIS, Mr. Joe Annor-Darkwah, Manager, Call Centre, Hannatu Mustapha Adam, and  Ag. Senior Manager, Abdul Karim Naatogmah. The virtual meeting provided constructive feedback on areas that require top management’s speedy attention.
