The newly appointed Deputy Chief Executive in charge of Admin/ HR, Mrs. Yaa Pokuaa Baiden has assured staff of the NHIA of the new management’s commitment to offer a well-structured welfare package to motivate staff to give off their best. She made this known at a recent staff durbar where she was formally outdoored.


She said ‘The welfare of employees has always been dear to my heart. The existing welfare package is not bad but could be better. I therefore intend to engage the board when it’s duly constituted, to revise the welfare package into a welfare scheme that is more responsive to the needs of our employees. This, I believe will help motivate staff to give off their best and keep staff morale high’.


The Deputy Chief Executive, Admin/ HR also assured staff of finding a holistic solution to issues of office accommodation.
 ‘The Authority will not renege on its responsibility to ensure that staff work under safe, secure and conducive environment.’


She also revealed the introduction of a comprehensive human resource software that will ensure cost control and improve efficiency.
‘Cost control is important to our sustainability. It is therefore, urgent to put in place a comprehensive Human Resource Software with up-to-date functionalities that incorporate employee appraisal system, leave application, staff attendance and payroll management so as to completely eliminate the use of paper and improve efficiency in this area’ Mrs. Baiden asserted.


She added that her outfit will ensure an improved and effective relationship between the Authority, its stakeholders and the brand.  She will oversee the Administration and Human Resource Directorate, Procurement & Projects Directorate, Corporate Affairs and Claims Directorates. She brings on board an impressive work experience from previous engagements.
